OPERATION CLEAN YOUR FRONTAGE BEGINS IN ASHAIMAN

A Team of Assembly staff, zoom lion, ambulance service and some police officers was led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Albert Boakye Okyere  embarked on a sensitization and awareness campaign along the principal streets and at market centres in Ashaiman to mark the start of the exercise.

Some designated areas including the Ashaiman main market, Jericho, Valco flats, Roman Down etc. were selected for the exercise to create the needed awareness to ensure residents of that areas/municipality become conscious of their environment.

The float along the principal streets of Ashaiman is an awareness creation campaign, took place and saw the staff of the Assembly and some identifiable groups in T-shirts with the inscription “Operation Clean Your Frontage”

The float, which began at the forecourt of the Assembly, went through the Ashaiman main road, Main market, Jericho, Valco flats, Roman Down and Presby.

The initiative, which is being spearheaded by the assembly, is to make it obligatory for all individuals and corporate entities to be responsible for the cleaning and greening of their immediate surroundings.
