ASHAIMAN ASSEMBLY STRENGTHENS TIES WITH DIVISIONAL COUNCIL AHEAD OF HOMOWO

The Ashaiman Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Freeman Tsekpo, has once again demonstrated respect for tradition and unity of purpose. Last Friday, 8th August, 2025 the MCE, accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Hon. Ernest Norgbey, paid homage to the Elders of the Ashaiman Divisional Council. This visit, marked by the presentation of customary items, comes as the Traditional Council prepares to celebrate the historic Homowo Festival.

In his remarks, Hon. Tsekpo expressed gratitude to the Elders and the entire Council for their unwavering support towards the Assembly’s developmental agenda. He acknowledged that the success of the Assembly’s mandate is deeply rooted in the cooperation and goodwill of traditional leadership and the community at large.

The Elders, in turn, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Assembly’s initiatives. This show of mutual respect highlights the significance of cultural heritage in fostering unity and sustainable development in Ashaiman.
