MCE INSPECT ULTRA-MODERN MARKET PROJECT IN ASHAIMAN
Mr. Albert Boakye Okyere, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly (ASHMA) inspected the new 1100 shops ultra-modern market project in Ashaiman.
The ultra-modern market project according to the MCE would be one of its kind in the entire Greater Accra Region with certain unique features.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Ashaiman, Mr. Boakye Okyere noted that the visit to the project site was to ascertain the progress of work made so far between the various stakeholders to ensure that the project was executed and handed over for the use within the stipulated time.
Naa Adjor, queen mother of the Ashaiman Traditional area expressed gratitude to the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly for the initiative to provide traders with the state of the art market project. She added that, together with the leadership of the market women, there would be intensive sensitizatiom exercises as to inform all persons who would want to transact businesses in the market to know what was required from them.
Naa Adjor said nothing would be free as far as the market project was concerned, saying every beneficiary would pay what was expected of them.
Mr. Nathaniel Amanquah, the contractor of the project stated that the Nat uprising Company limited was the company awarded the contract to execute the project, stressing that the project would be completed and handed over within the given stipulated time.
The project according to the contractor would include, a police station, a fire service department, a conference room, a car part, a public place of convenience, a school, a banking hall amongst some important facilities.
