MCE AND MP ENGAGES OBAKATSE AND TEBIBII ANNO RESIDENTS ON DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Freeman Tsekpo, and the Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Hon. Dr. Henry Ernest Norgbey, jointly engaged constituents in a community forum organized by the Assembly’s management on Sunday 19th April 2026.
The engagement, held for residents of Obakatse and Tebibii Anno electoral areas, focused on identifying community needs and challenges and exploring sustainable solutions.
Participants commended the MCE and MP for their collaboration in driving the municipality’s development. Key concerns raised included poor environmental conditions, unmotorable roads, lack of potable water, frequent power outages, and perennial flooding caused by inadequate drainage systems and unplanned development.
Residents urged the leaders to expedite action on these challenges, noting that they disrupt daily economic and social activities.
Hon. Dr. Norgbey pledged to continue lobbying for development projects and initiatives to boost the general economic well-being of constituents. Hon. Tsekpo reaffirmed his commitment to the full implementation of all planned projects to bring relief to residents. He also outlined ongoing interventions in education, health, sanitation, and sports.
The event was attended by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Ms. Jemima Apedo, and staff of the Assembly.
