REGIONAL MINISTER COMMISSIONS ULTRA MODERN MARKET HUB IN ASHAIMAN – NII ANAN ADJOR MARKET

The Ashaiman Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Freeman Tsekpo, last Wednesday, August 27, 2025, officially commissioned the newly built Nii Annan Adjor Market. The grand occasion was graced by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, the Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Dr. Hon. Ernest Henry Norgbey, the Regent of Ashaiman, Nii Annan Adjor, and the Queen Mother of Ashaiman, Naa Amui. Also present were the former MCE, Hon. Albert Boakye Okyere, Assembly Members, opinion leaders, religious and traditional heads, contractors from the Nat Uprising Company Limited, and a vibrant gathering of market leaders and traders.

In his address, the MCE highlighted the significance of the market as a modern trading hub and called for collective responsibility in safeguarding its purpose for the good of Ashaiman. The MP reiterated the government’s continuous commitment to infrastructural development, urging residents to support initiatives that enhance socio-economic progress. The Regional Minister, as guest of honour, further encouraged traders to fully utilize the facility, assuring that the government would ensure decongestion of streets so that the market serves its intended role.

The event was crowned with captivating cultural displays and artistic performances that reflected the rich heritage of Ashaiman. The commissioning was not only a milestone in local development but also a symbol of unity, progress, and renewed hope for a thriving municipal economy.
