FORMATION OF ASHAIMAN MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY SUB- COMMITTEES

Ashaiman Municipal Assembly held a Special General Assembly meeting on Wednesday, 29^th May 2004, as a continuation of its proceedings on the formation of Sub-Committees of The Assembly and, statutory Committees.

The Sub-Committees Are:

• Finance and Administration
• Social Services
• Development Planning
• Justice And Security
• Works
• Environmental And Sanitation

At the end of the proceedings, the following honourable assembly members were elected to be the chairmen of the various committees.

• The Finance and Administration Is headed by Hon Charles Kissi the Assembly Member for Nii Man Electoral Area.
• Social Service Committee Chairperson – Hon Salome Nkansah – Government Appointee
• Development Planning Committee – Baba Rabin the Assembly Member for Nii Anang Adjor
• Justice And Security Committee – Hon Freeman Tsekpo, The Assemblyman for Nii Komieteh
• Works Committee – Hon Awudu Mohammed, The Assemblyman for Manmomo
• Environmental And Sanitation Committee – Hon Shadrack Tetteh The Assembly Member for Naa Amui Electoral Area

Two (2) Assembly Members, Hon Azogi A. Ananga and Hon Sunday Tengah, were elected to be members of The Executive Committee of The Assembly but,                     The Chairman of The Agric Sub- Committee was nominated by the members to have a voting right on The Executive Committee.

The Public Relations and Compliant Committee Which Is a statutory committee Is Chaired by The Presiding Member of The Assembly, Hon Godwin Tsimese as Required by The Local Government Act, Act 936.
