The Mamomo Zone of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Ashaiman Municipal, has inaugurated a Disaster Volunteer Club (DVC) at Great Ideal Ebenezer School, Ashaiman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The formation exercise, held today, Thursday, 29th October, 2026, forms part of NADMO’s efforts to promote disaster prevention in schools across the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The short but impactful session, which ran from 8:00 a.m. to 9:35 a.m., was led by the Municipal Director Julius Awuye and his team from the Municipal Secretariat, together with Zonal Officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pupils were sensitized on disaster prevention, basic safety tips and the importance of early reporting. The programme ended with the official formation of the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the newly inducted members, the Municipal Director charged them to serve as ambassadors of safety in their school and wherever they find themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
