The Hon. MCE, Hon. Freeman Tsekpo yesterday 19-08-2025, received a delegation from the Ashaiman Scrap Dealers Association, a positive step towards addressing rampant indiscipline and theft. In a move that signals their commitment to restoring order, the association leaders proposed the formation of a joint taskforce to crack down on unscrupulous individuals, particularly truck pushers, who tarnish their trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MCE, in his response, did not mince words about the security challenges facing the municipality, directly linking several theft cases of public and private property to certain activities of scrap dealers. He rightly pointed out that unregulated activities fuel social vices and called for intensified collaboration to flush out the rogue elements within the industry for the benefit of all genuine operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With both parties in agreement, the meeting concluded on a promising note, as they reaffirmed their shared commitment to safeguarding Ashaiman’s security, promoting better sanitation, and working towards the municipality\u2019s overall orderly development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
