The Municipal Chief Executive of Ashaiman, Mr. Freeman Tsekpo, on 3rd June 2025, met with the Tema Development Company Limited (TDC) to address key issues concerning land documentation and regularization within the Municipality. The engagement aimed to familiarize the Assembly with TDC\u2019s processes and challenges in managing Ashaiman lands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Tsekpo raised concerns that the Assembly does not benefit from land transactions managed solely by TDC, despite increased development responsibilities. To resolve this, the Assembly proposed a policy to permit development on properties existing for over five years to boost local revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following discussions, TDC\u2019s Managing Director, Mr. Courage Makafui Nunekpeku, pledged full collaboration. A joint six-member committee will work to streamline documentation and regularize Ashaiman lands, ensuring fair allocation, improved revenue generation, and long-term development benefits for residents and the Assembly alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
