41ST NATIONAL FARMERS DAY CELEBRATION 2025

The Ashaiman Municipal Assembly on Friday, 5th December 2025, marked the 41st edition of the National Farmers Day celebration at the forecourt of the Assembly. Led by the Municipal Chief Executive and graced by the Hon. Member of Parliament, traditional authorities, Assembly Members, security services, farmers, heads of departments, and staff, the event highlighted the national theme: “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future.”

In his address, the MCE, Hon Freeman Tsekpo commended farmers across the Municipality for their unwavering dedication to feeding the community despite persistent challenges. He emphasised the Assembly’s vision of preparing the next generation to achieve sustainable food security without relying on external sources. He also outlined government support, including the distribution of over 3,500 bags of fertilizer and 10,000 broiler birds to farmers in Ashaiman.

The MP, Hon Henry Ernest Norgbey reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening food security and creating sustainable, attractive agricultural opportunities for the youth, ensuring a prosperous future for all.
